Our projects deliver cross-sector outputs
CURRENT PROJECTS:
DRUMMOND STREET SHOP FRONT IMPROVEMENTS
In 2019, Camden Council and Euston Town BID were awarded a record sum of £650,000 from HS2’s Business & Local Economy Fund. The latest stream of funding delivered 13 new shop fronts along the street which celebrate and represent the neighbourhood's character.
Chalton Street WAYFINDING Signage
Improving signage and wayfinding along Chalton Street is a top priority for local businesses. Chalton Street has such a diverse mix of businesses and a market which takes place every week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. To represent all that makes Chalton Street, the sign will use solar-powered flip sign technology, featuring triangular rotating segments. Each of the three faces showcases changeable words and symbols representing the independent businesses and market offerings, creating a vibrant and adaptive display that reflects the street's character.
DRUMMOND STREET ALLEYWAYS
Our engagement with local people tells us that Drummond Street’s alleyways feel unloved and unmonitored. We have commissioned 3 artists to work with our local people to design murals to transform these spaces into treasured community assets. We have also appointed a lighting designer to illuminate the alleyways.
Chalton Street LIGHTING PROJECT
Engagement with the business community of Chalton Street revealed that the installation of lighting would have a big impact on the night time atmosphere of the street. Scottish poet Robert Montgomery was commissioned because of his passion for championing community interest and his connection to and love of Camden. Robert was briefed to work with local organisation the People’s Museum, who have worked tirelessly to document the area’s heritage amidst transformative change. Collaborative workshops resulted in poetry that will be projected on to the pavements and buildings along the street.
CAMDEN GREEN LOOP MAP
In 2023 we commissioned Footways to create a beautiful printed map of the Camden Green Loop. The map shows the low pollution and culturally interesting routes around the area. This year we will be launching a summer social media campaign to explore the different route. Pick up a map at one of our partner locations!
Euston Security Wardens
The Euston Town security wardens patrol the BID area five days a week. They work closely with the police, including weekly intelligence sharing meetings and provide a visible presence to combat shoplifting, drug dealing and anti-social behaviour.
Drummond Street Vision
We have partnered with Jan Kattein Architects to develop a community-led regeneration vision to further enhance this vibrant, diverse neighbourhood as part of the Euston Green Link. The plan sets out a programme of short, medium and long-term design actions to highlight and enhance the neighbourhood. Find out more

C4WS
Euston Town BID is proud to have part funded the new C4WS day centre built in the disused space next to the C4WS current offices. This space will be used to enhance the quality and availability of support services provided by C4WS staff.
